What is coaching and advising?
Founders get pushed around a lot - by their boards, by their spouses, or even by their employees. It can be hard to hear their own voice through all of the noise.
Coaching is a space to step back out of reactive fire drill states to refocus on what’s important, and build intentional strategies. The coach asks thoughtful questions to help the CEO find the choices right for them.

Usually, early stage first time founders prefer about 70% advising, 30% coaching.
Later stage or serial founders who are more experienced tend to prefer a style that is majority coaching. They already know what to do; they just need the time and space to step back and think, with a sounding board who can keep up with them.
